Julien Jouanguy received in September 2002 a Master degree in energetics and aerothermochemistry with specialization in real flows from the University of Rouen, France. After that, he joined the thermodynamics laboratory of CORIA in Rouen, France where he started a Ph.D. thesis under the supervision of Pr. Mikhael Gorokhovski. In July 2007, J. Jouanguy obtained the Ph.D. degree in Fluid Mechanics at the University of Rouen. His Ph. D. thesis was entitled “Phenomenological modeling of sprays pulverization coupled to a Large Eddy Simulation approach for the gas phase”.
From October 2006 to September 2007, he was an associate lecturer in the University of Rouen in University Institute of Technology in thermal science and energetics.
From September 2007 to December 2008, he was a post-doctorate researcher studying simulation of boundary layer turbulence at Mechanics Laboratory of Lille where he used Direct Numerical and Large Eddy Simulations approaches for turbulent flow.
Then, from February 2009 to April 2012, he worked as a post-doctorate researcher at INRA of Bordeaux, in the field of environmental fluid mechanics and energetics. His subject was the modeling of water mass cycle and energetic transfers between soil, vegetation and atmosphere.
Since September 2013, he is an assistant professor at University of Burgundy in France (in ISAT, Nevers) where he teaches thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, modeling and simulation. His current research interests two phases flow simulation & modeling and flow control.
